Live your Dreams
So, now that you have graduated from the conservatory and are completely formed as a professional musician, it’s your time to shine! You are a proud owner of your very own diploma, bursting with new music ideas, and want to turn your dreams of pursuing an opera career into a reality.
Let’s get started!
Whilst long-term courses may provide the necessary foundation and security, they often leave a false impression of the reality ahead of you, failing to prepare you for life as a young professional musician.
I, myself have been working for 20 years trying to balance my passion as a professional pianist both on and off stage. As a teacher at the SLAC (Conservatory of Leuven), I’ve been attracting music enthusiasts from all ages, and for several years, I was an accompanist at the Royal Conservatory of Liège, often working with singers who were preparing for auditions, competitions or new repertoires. Through these experiences, I came to realise that graduate musicians (either instrumentalists or singers) often enter this world lacking the tools they need to be truly successful.
For some years now, I have been working intensively with young ensembles and soloists (and less young ensembles and soloists), trying to guide and equip them with the necessary skills to navigate this difficult journey.
We work together in studios, concert halls or repetition rooms, trying to find the right formula to prepare for demo’s, recordings, concerts, auditions and personal development. It is extremely rewarding to see these musicians grow and reach their true potential.
So, before it is too late and the dream has passed you by, rest assured that your dreams can be lived. It would be a pleasure to join you on your journey.
